The portable gaming console, Steam Deck, presented by Valve, quickly achieved significant success with its features. Just recently, Lenovo announced their device named Legion Go, which runs on the Windows operating system. Now, leaked images of Lenovo’s portable gaming console have surfaced.
Lenovo Legion Go combines the good features of other gaming consoles.
From the leaked images, Lenovo’s portable console bears a resemblance to the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally. Furthermore, there are many similarities between Legion Go and the Nintendo Switch.
According to the emerging reports, the new portable gaming console features an eight-inch screen. In addition to this expansive screen, the leaked images reveal two Joy-Con-like controllers reminiscent of Nintendo Switch models. A support stand, reminiscent of the one from the Switch OLED model, is also present in the Legion Go.
The detachable controllers of the Legion Go seem to be a hybrid of the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. Like the Steam Deck, Legion Go also features a touch control section, and its detachable controller design brings it closer to Nintendo Switch models.
Another notable detail about Lenovo’s new console is its thickness. Lenovo appears to have sacrificed thickness and weight for a longer screen time. In contrast, Asus took the opposite route with the ROG Ally, resulting in a thinner gaming console but shorter screen time.
Similar to the ROG Ally, the Legion Go will host AMD Phoenix processors and is expected to support all games compatible with the Windows operating system. With its modular design, the new model seems poised to breathe new life into the portable gaming console market, particularly alongside the Steam Deck.
